Tim Tebow – The New Bogeyman For The Left

Tim Tebow announces he will return for his sen...

One of the most celebrated college quarterbacks of all time is under fire from the left. The reason? He is a pro-life supporter and is willing to stand up for his beliefs. But his story goes well beyond just wanting to protect the sanctity of life. His story is a prime example of how valuable every life is and how a mother’s decision to not have an abortion produced an athlete for the ages.

Tebow’s mom, Pam, was advised in 1987 to terminate her pregnancy when carrying Tim because of health complications she was experiencing. This was her fifth pregnancy, and while she was in the Philippines on a mission trip, her doctors told her that it was best to have an abortion, but she refused. She later gave birth to Tim and over the last four years we have seen first hand the results of Ms. Tebow’s decision with an athlete that is not only good on the field, but someone that has gained the respect from many people off the field.

This was surely a courageous decision by Ms. Tebow to stand by her convictions and make the decision to not have the abortion as she was advised. As a result, Tim Tebow grew into a fine young man and a very good football player as the starting quarterback for one of the best college football teams in America. His future is very bright and he is sure to be a first-round draft pick in next year’s NFL draft.

In the upcoming Super Bowl, CBS was planning to run an ad by the Christian group “Focus on the Family” starring both Pam and Tim Tebow on their position regarding abortion. This has caused many leftist groups, including National Organization for Women (NOW) to protest and call on CBS to not air the ad. There have also been numerous news stories surfacing that try to demean Tebow for his pro-life stance, and even some that are questioning his athletic skills.

It really is sickening how the left rises up against anyone that tries to stand in their way. Those on the left that favor abortion are among the worst when it comes to getting in the face of those that oppose their position. Some of the commentary regarding Tebow’s position have been nothing but personal attacks.

Here is a segment from Bill O’Reilly’s show last night where he interviewed Jehmu Greene, an American political commentator, keynote speaker, and strategist affiliated with the Democratic Party, regarding Focus On The Family’s anti-abortion Super Bowl ad, where it is easy to see the distaste those on the left have for pro-life activists.
