It’s All He Thinks About, Really!
On several occasions – as recently as this past week, President Obama has made the ridiculous statement that he spends every waking hour working on the economy. I remember when I heard him say it the first time in November, 2009 in an interview on Fox News when he said “And I spend every waking hour, when I’m talking to my economic team, about how we are going to put people back to work.” That drew howls of laughter from the Republicans and was just one of the many gaffes that Obama made regarding the economy in his first twelve months.
Now, once again we see Obama’s helping the American people by doing everything he can (/sarcasm) to reduce the deficit with the creation of an independent deficit commission which will have the “power to force Congress to vote on major deficit reduction steps”. That brings several thoughts to mind:
- Obama really expects us to believe that suddenly the deficit reduction is a top priority for his administration? After all the spending this administration has done for pet projects, special interests and to implement their liberal agenda, now he is becoming a deficit hawk. Ok, right, I get it now.
- How can the independent commission have the “power to force Congress to vote on major deficit reduction steps”. Who gives them the power to even do something like this? How brazen does this administration intend to be with the balance of power as defined in the Constitution? I sincerely hope they do not think the American people are that dumb and will stand idly by while they continue to abuse the laws of the land.
- If Obama and his team think this is so important, why are they waiting until after the elections in November to implement this process? Yes, that’s right, they are not planning on doing anything until November. So in response to the fallout from the Massachusetts Senate vote, their knee jerk reaction is an attempt to appease the people with some lame-ass excuse that they were forming a special commission to attack the deficit. I have only seen the tidbit about November in one article that was published on Politico. If that is true, it is clear they are trying to bamboozle us once again.
The Obama administration’s approach to the exploding national deficit and the national crisis around jobs are really very similar. Instead of really doing something substantive to resolve the problem we get lip service and platitudes. As a result the American people will grow more and more angry because neither the job situation or out of control deficit spending are getting fixed.
But our man Obama, he is all over it. It’s all he thinks about, really!

I interpret Obama’s remark about the economy in the following manner. Regarding the “economy,” I think he means that he spends all his waking time trying to find new ways for his cohorts in Congress to hide “nonexistent” earmarks in pending legislation; his ongoing heist of the US Treasury.
Is he trying to kid us? This idiot would rather be back in Hawaii. He’s not going down, he has arrived.

But it is a point of contention about the Energy Produced. NREL published an analysis in ‘04 showing PV panels returning their embodied material and mfg energy in 2 to 5 years, depending on type, and they should produce for upwards of 30 yrs total.. so they do in that analysis fully return their production energy several times over.
It reminds me of what the leftwingers had to say about the GOP conference in Hawaii… which was bogus as usual; whereas this guys point is bulletproof.
