Obama’s Problem With Honesty

ELYRIA, OH - JANUARY 22: A United States Secr...

One of the things that has shocked me throughout President Obama’s first year in office is his obvious problem with being honest to the American people. There have been numerous examples of his dishonesty and his disingenuous approaches to his overall agenda, results of programs that were implemented, interaction with special interest groups and his own personal associations. Short of calling Obama a liar, it is quite evident that his “modus operandi” is to govern through manipulation and misleading information.

This is now becoming a major issue for the Obama administration. Because he has given every conceivable special interest group an equal opportunity in deception, he has now created an aura of mistrust that will be very difficult to overcome. Combine this with a less than stellar group of honest and forthright people on his administration team, and the result is an administration that has an image problem that may never be rebuilt. The American people know dishonesty when they see it, they know when what they are hearing does not match what they are seeing or feeling.

These should all be considered as warning signs that President Obama and his administration are not interested in what is best for the American people. Their only interest lies in what is best for this administration and the special interests they represent. We must recognize these warning signs and realize that there are real hazards ahead for us. This administration surrounds itself with radical revolutionary people and ideas, mislead the American people at every turn, and display an arrogance that we have never seen from a President before in the history of our country.

Over the first twelve months, the American people revolted peacefully with tea parties, town hall meetings and marches on Washington. Each time the people were rewarded by being called insulting names and in some cases, violence. The main stream media totally ignored these events and if mentioned at all were covered with a very slanted viewpoint.

Well, the tides are turning, and I think the administration knows it. We are seeing more and more of the main stream media starting to see the light. Watch this video that shows Evan Thomas from Newsweek saying that Obama is facing a “revolt” because he has “not been fundamentally honest” with the American people about his agenda. He went on to say that Americans “smelled dishonesty and a rat”. This from a guy that just a year ago said “I mean in a way Obama’s standing above the country, above – above the world, he’s sort of God”. My how times have changed . . .
