The Boston Tea Party, Part II

"The Destruction of Tea at Boston Harbor&...

With the historic win by Scott Brown on Tuesday for the Senate seat vacated by the late Ted Kennedy, Americans yearning for freedom are breathing a huge sigh of relief. This victory will be written about for years because numerous factors were actually at play that factored into this stunning victory by Brown.

The Democrats cannot hide the fact that these election results were a repudiation against Obama and the Democrat liberal agenda. For the first twelve months of the Obama administration, the Democrats kept referring back to his victory and how America had given them the green light for “fundamentally changing” America. With this Massachusetts upset, the Democrats will no longer be able to hide behind their charge that Obama’s win was a mandate for their lurch to the left.

Several Democrat Senators and Congressmen have already spoken out regarding the current healthcare under consideration and how Brown’s win is now a mandate for starting over. It goes well beyond healthcare. This win will also cause the Democrats to rethink their position on other liberal agenda items such as cap and trade, employee free choice act, more bailouts and a host of other policy items that they are sure to push.

This was a stunning victory for the tea party movement because it encapsulated all the rage that has been building over the last twelve months as the Democrats charted their path to socialism. With this win, Democrat Congressmen (and women) who might have been reluctant to take a stand against legislation, now have an “out” if you will, because they know that the mood of the country really never did change from our conservative roots.

Washington better be listening because this win for Brown should remind Congress that the Massachusetts election is likely to play out across many other congressional districts. Heck, if Massachusetts, the bluest of all blue states is not safe for Democrats, what state is? That is the result of this election, those are the reverberations that will be felt across the country.

Much has been said that this election is akin to The Second American Revolution. Democrats who refuse to consider this, and who disregard the voice of Americans that are concerned with their style of politics, will find themselves in a similar position in November.

Reports out of the White House are that Obama and his team are very angry with the results of this special election. If that is true, this only reveals their arrogance towards the American people even more. But more importantly, how they channel their anger and how they decide to govern moving forward will have a lot to say about the future of this administration. Will they move to the center, or will they continue their march to the left? What they do over the next few days and weeks will write the history of their administration.

But it’s very obvious to anyone observing the day-to-day political events. Scott Brown’s win is the Boston Tea Party, Part II. This was a very sweet victory for the conservative movement, and one that the Democrats better take notice. If not, come November there will be many other blue states turning red on election night.

Scott Brown victory is, of great news. If we can do it in Massachusetts, we can do it anywhere. From now on, there is no such thing as a safe Democratic seat.

But in this day and time we need to do more than elect fiscal conservatives to public office. We the people need to return some of the power we once gave to our government via the constitution back to the people. Without giving our elected officials the added tools to confront the entrenched special interests most responsible for continued government growth regardless of who is elected, nothing will change.

One of the simplest examples of this effort is for Tea Party supporters to adopt the idea of supporting Congressional office seekers who are not only fiscal conservatives, but who also will support the idea of limiting Congress to only one or two, two-month sessions per year. I use these numbers merely as examples. The real proposal would be to support fiscal conservatives who would also support limiting Congressional yearly sessions. Our representatives need to spend far, far more time with their constituents rather than surrounded by Washington’s special interests

Other examples I have gathered would require at least amending the Bill of Right to holding a Constitutional Convention, but all would serve to shift power from the government back to the people and thus to the people’s representatives.

I need to say, politics and religion provoke the very best as well as the very worst in people. The best because both can lead to folk being incredibly kind, the bad side as both can lead to incredibly obstinate and unreasonable behavior. I am not pointing a finger at you, your post just made me grasp this, so thankyou for that.

  18. Very interesting way to market on facebook. I also found a way to automate a couple very powerful methods of getting users. You can capture ID by groups or pages or wall posts with this program. Then once you have them you can do a friend request to your profile or sudo profile. This by passes the captcha codes too. There is also a cool chat program that you can setup scripts and keyword to work with. This program, when I use it I can see a spike in my site traffic. It is awesome…

  19. Great site. A lot of useful information here. I’m sending it to some friends!
